Linear paragraph is when you write a paragraph describing two items. First, you describe one item and the all the similarities and differences of the other item is described.

Listing Paragraph
When you write a listing paragraph, you must start by giving a general statement fallowed by a list. Usually, the general statement indicates how many reasons/factors/characteristics/kinds would be, with specific numbers or variety. Then rest of the paragraph gives some or all the reasons/factors ect.
